Russia wants ban LGBT activities on its territory
The progress of LGBT+ rights in Russia has regressed significantly since the early openness post-USSR's collapse. In 2013, a law was introduced banning the "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relationships," initially targeting minors. However, as of December, this legislation has been broadened to forbid all LGBT+ "propaganda" to any audience, intensifying the repression. This shift marks a transition from an attempt to obscure LGBT+ presence in public consciousness to a denial of their existence altogether in Russian society. Read full article
