The International Cricket Council (ICC) has prohibited transgender females, specifically those who have experienced male puberty but later transitioned to female, from participating in international women’s cricket competitions. This decision, made to maintain the integrity and safety of the women's game, was announced by ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice, who cited scientific rationale and thorough consultations as the basis. While member boards retain autonomy over domestic cricket, this global ruling does not affect their decisions. Concurrently, the ICC has committed to equal pay for female match officials in both men's and women's games.
