A Celebration of Creativity and Community

On Sunday morning, Cathedral City hosted the grand finale of the LGBT Days 2025 celebration with its iconic bed parade and races. The event, held in front of City Hall, welcomed enthusiastic attendees who arrived as early as 10:00 AM to explore vendor booths and enjoy live music.

A Parade Full of Energy and Color

Participants showcased their creativity by transforming rolling beds into themed floats while dressing up in coordinated outfits. Crowds gathered along the streets to cheer as the parade kicked off at 11:00 AM, followed by the thrilling bed races that added an exciting competitive edge to the festivities.

A Gathering That Strengthens LGBTQ+ Visibility

Eri Nox, a key organizer of the Greater Palm Springs Hot Rodeo, emphasized the significance of events like these in fostering inclusivity and raising awareness for LGBTQ+ causes.

"As part of the International Gay Rodeo Association, we host an annual gay rodeo in Palm Springs. Many of our members reside in Cathedral City, so being here allows us to connect with the community and promote our rodeo," Nox shared.

He further stressed the importance of solidarity, particularly for the transgender community:

"More than ever, we need to stand together and uplift each other," he said. "It's crucial to embrace and support our transgender community, and this event serves as a starting point for fostering that acceptance right here in Cathedral City."
