Tamar Braxton Launches a New Cooking Show and Supports the LGBTQ+ Community
A Family Culinary Adventure on TV
Tamar Braxton is expanding her television career with a brand-new cooking show alongside her mother, Evelyn Braxton. Titled Cooking Sessions: with Tamar and Ms. E, this weekly series will premiere on Cleo TV on Wednesday, March 28. The show promises a perfect mix of “fabulous looks and delicious dishes,” highlighting the beloved mother-daughter duo that fans adore.
Speaking about the project, Tamar expressed her excitement: “This is a very special moment for me. First of all, it’s her dream, and helping her fulfill it is a dream come true for me.” After ten years of preparation and hard work, she considers the show’s launch a true “blessing.”
A New Role as Executive Producer
Beyond her role as host, Tamar Braxton also serves as the executive producer through her company, Tamar Braxton Productions. She made sure to thank Phil Thornton, a key figure in the music and television industry, for encouraging her entrepreneurial ambitions. “Thanks to Mr. Phil Thornton, who has helped me become the businesswoman I am today,” she stated.
A Strong Commitment to the LGBTQ+ Community
For years, Tamar Braxton has been a passionate advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. Last summer, she was honored with the ICON Award at the 12th Annual Pure Heat Community Festival in Atlanta. When asked about her LGBTQ+ fans, she delivered a heartfelt message: “Be yourself. Those who love you will accept you, and for those who don’t—stay away from them. I’ve been a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community since the fourth grade.”
An Inclusive and Inspiring Podcast
In addition to her new TV venture, Tamar hosts a weekly podcast, Life, Love & Beyond, where she discusses topics like healing, relationships, and life experiences with influential guests. The podcast is co-hosted by medium and life coach Taz Singh, along with James Wright Chanel, a social media personality and Tamar’s best friend, who is openly gay.
The singer emphasized the importance of LGBTQ+ voices in her projects: “My entire team is LGBTQ+. It’s essential for me to stay true to myself while respecting and valuing the opinions of those who matter to me. James' presence is crucial—not only does he represent the LGBTQ+ community, but he is also my voice of reason.”

An Exciting Upcoming Tour
Alongside her cooking show, Tamar Braxton is also gearing up for her next tour, The October Nights: Calling All Lovers Tour, alongside R&B singer October London. The tour kicks off on April 15 in Norfolk, Virginia.
Speaking about the tour, she shared her gratitude: “I’m so lucky to be able to tour every year. After Love and War 10, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go on tour with another artist because the energy of my Tamartians is unique. We speak the same language and truly understand each other.”
When it comes to cooking on the road, Tamar admits her schedule doesn’t allow her much time to prepare meals. “I love home-cooked meals, and I really miss them when I’m on tour. I try to avoid fast food as much as possible because it’s easy to get addicted to it.”
With her new cooking show, her dedication to the LGBTQ+ community, and an exciting tour ahead, Tamar Braxton continues to push boundaries and invest fully in her passions while staying true to her values.
