The Los Angeles LGBT Center, in partnership with the TransLatin@ Coalition, Equality California, and Advocates for Trans Equality, is hosting "Trans Liberation Now!"—a powerful event dedicated to defending trans rights and uplifting transgender voices. This rally is set for Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10 AM to 1 PM, at the Anita May Rosenstein Campus in Hollywood.

A Local Initiative with Nationwide Momentum

This movement extends beyond Los Angeles. Organizers urge advocacy groups across the country to hold simultaneous rallies in support of transgender, non-binary, intersex, and gender-nonconforming (TGNBI+) individuals. The aim is to echo this movement nationally and push back against the rising wave of anti-trans legislation.

Fighting Back Against Anti-Trans Laws

With over 700 anti-trans bills under discussion in state legislatures across the U.S., this event stands as a direct response to the political assault on trans rights, fueled by conservative rhetoric. Trans Liberation Now! will feature powerful speeches, advocacy workshops, and a resource fair, equipping attendees with the tools to take action in their communities.

A Unified Call for Justice and Equality

Joe Hollendoner, CEO of the Los Angeles LGBT Center, underscores the urgency of this rally:

"As political attacks on trans people escalate, we refuse to stay silent. The Los Angeles LGBT Center stands with the trans community in demanding justice, protection, and full equality. ‘Trans Liberation Now!’ is not just a rally—it’s a movement, a statement that we will fight for trans rights, dignity, and existence.”
